ACCS

The Annual Conference of Cognitive Science (ACCS) serves as a prominent national gathering that brings together diverse perspectives on the study of the mind and brain. Organized under the aegis of the Association for Cognitive Science (ACS), it provides an inclusive space for scholars, practitioners, and students from multiple disciplines—ranging from psychology and neuroscience to computer science, linguistics, philosophy, and artificial intelligence—to engage in meaningful intellectual exchange.

Hosted annually by reputed institutions across India, the conference functions as a platform for presenting emerging research and encouraging scholarly dialogue. Its program typically includes keynote talks, research paper sessions, poster presentations, and interactive workshops, all aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing. The 12th edition (ACCS-12), conducted at CBCS Allahabad in December 2025, featured a wide array of discussions spanning areas such as learning and memory, human–computer interaction, computational models of cognition, language processing, decision-making, and consciousness studies. The upcoming 13th edition (ACCS-13) is scheduled to take place at the Centre for Neural and Cognitive Sciences, University of Hyderabad, from December 12 to 14, 2026.

By creating opportunities for interdisciplinary engagement and sustained academic dialogue, ACCS plays an important role in strengthening cognitive science research and education in India, contributing to a deeper and more integrated understanding of cognitive phenomena.
